Mafia 2 IS OUT!!! worldwide
I am very honored I can be the one who releases this post. Very long expected game title Mafia 2 has been finally released today worldwide. I can only imagine how many people have bought it in advance maybe several weeks ago and could not sleep couple of previous night just to play it.

Portal 2 comes February 2011
Remember that extremely cool game, which was really one of a kind, Portal. Game where you had to use your brain rather than just keep your pointing finger on the fire mouse button. You had to solve 20 levels of puzzles and that was just the beginning of the path. Well you in luck, Portal 2 has been announced and confirmed to come out on February 9th, 2011.
I am betting Portal 2 will require a whole new dimension of thinking, there will be several new, more advanced, more challenging levels to go through. It is going to run on the usual Source Engine, which has made any valve game a great experience in graphics, gameplay and artificial intelligence. There is certainly much to look forward to.
Reason why cant Mark Zuckerberg get blocked
Recently there has been a revelation of a strange fact that Mark Zuckerberg can not be blocked on Facebook. Immediately huge discussions started with the aim of finding out, why exactly is that. There were few theories, most logical theory was that the creator of Facebook simply does not want others to block him, another theory was that it might have been an eastern egg from the Facebook developers, or very unlikely a glitch.
The truth has been revealed now from one of the Facebook employees who explained an unrevealed mechanism of Facebooks framework. Facebook basically has a security system which prevents mass blocking of one person, to protect himself from becoming suspect of "blocking conspiracy". Apparenly Mark Zuckerbergs account has been exceeded with allowed number of blockings, therefore his profile has no longer such option.
Why to choose Mac OS over Windows
I have just stumbled over an article at this blog What makes Windows better than Mac OS? and I would like to propose a counter article, since I myself am currently a passionate Mac, former Windows user.
1) It is true, Windows has the capability of running on any hardware. Can you call that proper running however? Constant freezing, dozens of software bugs and glitches, counteless dialog windows asking for permissions to proceed with basic actions. When it comes to Mac OS, you never have to authorize anything twice (like some yahoo), hardly ever you get your Mac to point when it freezes (blue screen of death isnt even a part of the system since it is not needed ever).
2) You can run Windows on a Mac, some might say its a plus for Windows, but is it really. You buy a Mac and you are free to choose which OS you like, indeed you go for Mac OS.
3) I do agree, prices of Apple products in general are higher (not in case of Mac OS, how interesting isnt it?). Suddenly Mac OS is the cheaper and better one. I seriously dont see the point in buying a copy of Windows lets say the ultimate version costing over $200 when I can get Snow leopard for just 29 bucks and even dont have to bother choosing my version, Snow leopard comes in one version and simply has it all.
4) When you buy a new PC laptop (or desktop) with OEM operating system, you dont only get the system, you also get a ton of trial software, which you eventually have to get rid of, as soon as it expires and makes a living hell out of your PC, because it bothers you all the time with notifications of expiration and need to upgrade and all that annoying stuff. When you encounter anything similar to this with a Mac OS I will give you $100. You simply dont get this sh*t with your Mac.
5) Macs are in general much faster than PCs (running Windows) and why is that now? Because Apple choose very carefully what hardware to use, and it certainly uses the best out of the best. Do you personally care what kind of hardware you have inside your machine? I bet you dont as much as I dont. But no Windows has to support thousands of pieces of hardware, work slowly and crash all the time just to be safe, you know how it goes, safety first never run too quick right, when you sitting in a car not when you running operating system though.
I am not going to be the one who only criticizes Windows. I admit Microsoft has done magnificent job with Windows XP, todays leading operating system, with Vista not so much success but indeed huge improvement with Windows 7. They might have copied one or two things, but hell, they had to copy it from somewhere so why not to copy from the best (Mac OS).
Who. What. When. And now Where.
That would be today had described Facebook. He launched a new application in the form of geolocation services, Facebook Places.Users can share with your friends a little more personal information. Service, yet receive only the residents of the U.S., Europe will come to later.
Its integration into Facebook already is guaranteed a huge success and so far the biggest player Foursquare, Gowalla, Yelp has decided to cooperate. These were also joined Microsoft Bing to support service delivery to its maps.
To connect to Places, you need a browser that supports HTML5 and subscribe through touch.facebook.com pages, where iPhone users can then just install specialized applications.
Facebook Places in practice
In your mobile go to the Facebook Check In button. Found your site to offer places around you can choose where they are. If the beloved cafeteria, or elsewhere do not find, you can simply add to the system. If you are not alone, as an additional feature you can use sign your friends who are with you. It works just like the labeling of the photographs. You can dial if you want to share your location with friends and then confirm everything.Another new sites will link with Facebook pages. For example, the company can steal a site specific locations. This function extends the already significant commercial potential geolocation services. Valuable data about users collected by Facebook, expands on the places that they visit, which will be of interest to many a company. I can imagine for instance a café, which will target your advertising for a new product for people who come to this cafe and also to those who visit the cafes in the neighborhood.
Safety
From the perspective of the security risks are nothing new happening. Even in the past you could identify anyone in the status and write it with him sitting in a particular company. Places facebook this is just easier. Still, Facebook has added additional security settings. You must disable a friend that you were calling, sharing sites allow only friends, or simply disable the entire application.Mafia 2 demo first impression
Indeed I have tried the demo of Mafia 2 today and have a few thoughts about it I would like to share.
1) It has a different overall theme than the first episode had. Of course that could have been expected since this game was actually developed by different people. I am just saying I am missing the good old something that was so great about the first Mafia. Not saying that the theme of Mafia 2 is any worse, I know its gonna be awesome.
2) Mafia 2 has many features that one would associate with GTA 4. Example, breaking into cars is very similar, I am afraid to say copied from GTA 4. Aiming and shooting has the same gameplay technique, there is not much to improve or do some other way, so this is a plus point. The HUD is unfortunately nothing but GTA 4 copy. Your health is a curved line surrounding world map. This point is quite disappointing, they could have either gone with the old classic hud or they could have created original one.
3) Mafia 2 is much better piece of software than GTA 4. My interpretation would be This is what should GTA 4 have looked like. If you compare the level of shadows Mafia 2 is absolutely gorgeous, the models are much more detailed and you see how much work the developers put into the engine. Mafia 2 loads quickly as hell compared to GTA 4 and has minimum of bugs (at least it appears that way). Again a huge plus for Mafia 2, maybe it looks a bit like GTA 4 but the thorough experience is on a completely new level.
4) Your health increases. Many games do this, you get hurt, you wait couple of seconds and you are good as new. What the hell is that about? This is so not Mafia like, why would they put it there, huge minus.

Mafia 2 demo out now
Long expected game Mafia 2 from Illusion Softworks developers has released demo version of this fantastic and highly anticipate video game. I believe there is nothing to add. Everyone knows what Mafia 2 is and what shall be expected from it.

Next social network by Google?
Today breaking news was released, Google is developing its own social network.
Previous Google Buzz, used for exchanging statuses between users of Gmail, was not enough apparently, Google had to come up with something new. Buzz is similar to Twitter but not as full-fledged social network. Google may have previously planned own social network, but for some reasons, refrained from building one. They are claiming, that Google had slept through the development of the Internet and let competition escape from sideways of Facebook.
Google Buzz is unfortunately far away from being a quality social network.
In the air hangs a dramatic question, Will the newly developed network developed by Google be just a copy of Facebook? This question was answered by the head of Google, Eric Schmidt: “The world doesn’t need a copy of existing one.” We will see whether or not Google brings something revolutionary.
Name of the new social network will be Google Me.
Why wont you use Bing maps instead
Well as much as you know Microsoft it hates to fall behind. So Bing also has a feature of Bing Maps. You can guess for yourself what does this feature offer. Appart from the obvious and appart from the regular what can Google Maps offer, Bing maps have a few aces in its sleeve.
1) It supports 3D built in browser. It might not be as quick, but you do not need an extra application to run it. Yet it offers major cities only, but other places are surely being prepared momentarily.
2) Bird eye. It also has the old good feature of satellite view which it calls Aerial view. It also features a Bird eye view which is far more interesting in terms of getting to know what does it look like up from above. Bird eye is as well unfortunately not available to all regions however if you give it time, your city might be next in line.
3) Taxi Fare calculator. Guess what this feature does. Yes exactly it calculates the expense of cab ride from point A to point B. How handy is that right. This feature is not yet fully accessible, since it needs some last minute tweeks.

Not that its some breaking news, just that OpenBlog started a page at Facebook to boost just a little bit its spread around the internet. If you would like to be kept posted what is going on around here, you can always hit the like button and all is done for you. If you know of any friends who might benefit from this blog, please be sure to at least tell them about it. Maybe a space for their own thoughts is the one thing they are missing, you never know without asking.
